ISPEN is short for Instant Security Probing of Electrical Networks.
ISPEN is the brand name of a family of revolutionary software solutions for - contingency analysis (OCD) - simulation and planning (IPFA) - Integrating neighbour's online networks (MON) - Forecasting (Solutions) - Emergency operation (Solutions) - DACF file analysis (UFA)
of high voltage power networks.
The software has been developed and optimized by the Team of Dr. Ingemund Nordanlycke of the Swiss company Intercompro AG.
The nucleus of the software is a powerful and extremely fast set of algorithms based on the full AC Newton-Raphson iteration process. So fast in fact, that for the first time, a real time contingency analysis of complex power grid is possible on a simple PC.
